7:30 p.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Verbeten. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve agenda. MC
Minutes: Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to dispense with the reading of April minutes. MC
Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approved April minutes as presented in writing to Board. MC
Treasurer’s Report: Jeanette presents report for April, and presents Profit & Loss report from QuickBooks. Board would prefer we continue with Excel format until P&L is cleaned up. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve treasurer’s report. MC
Vouchers: Donna presents vouchers 11282 through 11302 plus tax liability for a total of $56,201.27. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve vouchers. MC
Planning Commission: Rick Gerbers report that the Planning commission met on Monday May 1 to review:
1) Review a request to rezone and for a CSM from Betty Rosin Parcel W-191 with understanding that party cannot get any more than 11 feet set back off rear yard.
2) Comprehensive plan is discussed.
Baumgartner CSM: Steve Zeitler. American Surveyors, appears and presents CSM for Loree Baumgartner, Lois Baumgartner and Jessica VanStraten and informs of purpose for same. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve CSM for part of SW-NW, Sec 1, T21N, R19E, Fair Road, Parcel W-10 & W-10-1. Ayes 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Rosin CSM: Steve Zeitler, American Surveyors, appears and presents CSM for Betty Rosin and explains same. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve CSM for Betty Rosin, Part of S1/2-NE-NW, Sec35, T22N, R19E, Rosin Road, Parcel 191. Ayes 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Licensing Fees: Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to adopt Resolution 2017-02 Relating to Licensing Fees as discussed in April. Ayes 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Sanitary District #2: David Bloomer, Commissioner for Sanitary District #2, appears and reports on status of Sanitary District 2. Verbeten informs of discussion with counsel on dissolving Sanitary District 2; a) ponds need to be cleaned; b) after land can be sold to assist in paying debts; c) strip of land to ponds must be deeded to town.
Road Bids: Verbeten opens road bids and following discussion by Board, motion by Juedes and second by Diny to award bids as follows:
a) Cold mix – Scott Construction $110,134/sq mi; 8.53/SY; $51/ton
b) Hot mix – Northeast Asphalt $125,563.50/1 mile of road
c) Chip Sealing – Scott construction $17,985/mile
d) Gravel & Breaker – Scott Construction - ¾ crushed $6.95/tn FOB, $11.20/tn delivered;
5/8 crushed $7.10/tn FOB, $11.85/tn delivered; breaker run $6.95/tn FOB, $11.20/tn delivered
e) Slurry Surface – no need for award
Bridge Inspection Report: Bill informs report is correct and accepted.
Mallard Road Bridge: Following discussion and review of proposals from Ayres Associates and Robert E Lee engineering firms regarding engineering for Mallard Road bridge, motion by Juedes and second by Diny to contract with Robert E. Lee for a structure replacement study for Mallard Road Bridge. Ayes 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Board will meet on Tuesday, May 16, 10AM at the town hall to discuss road maintenance plan with possible road inspections and review of necessary bridge work.
Wrightstown Wrestling Club: Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to approve request of Wrightstown Wrestling Club for picnic license for tractor pull on June 9 & 10, Jack VandeHey property on School Road. Ayes 2 Nays 0 Abstain by Verbeten. Motion carried.
Wierschke trailer: Donna informs Jim Wierschke has contacted her earlier in the day and informed that he was not able to attend tonight due to illness. He requested matter be reschedule. Motion by Verbeten and second by Juedes to table to June meeting. Motion carried.
1) MFR fees at $23/tn
2) Natural gas lateral request by Public Safety Commission – no comments
3) Greenleaf Greenscapes ditch cutting estimate reviewed. Motion by Juedes and second by Diny to award contract for ditch cutting to Greenleaf Greenscapes.
